Impromptu Wedding Dress Shopping

David’s Bridal is having a big sale this week (some dresses are only $99!). I know it’s early but I figured I might as well check it out. The lady I had spoken with on the phone suggested only bringing a couple people as it would be really busy so it was just my mom, my maid-of-honour, and me that went.

I found a few dresses I really liked, unfortunately they weren’t on sale for $99. They were in the $500-700 range which is higher than I’ve budgeted for but still manageable if it came down to it.

There were also a few dresses that were AWFUL. The lady helping me had asked if there were any other styles I’d like to try and I told her I wouldn’t mind trying a shorter dress to see what it would look like.

I wasn’t expecting this …

As soon as I saw this dress I knew that it would look horrible on me but I tried it on anyway for fun (and to be polite)! Poofy and giant bow?? It’s a definite no for me but at least we had a good laugh!

I started running about three years ago. Until this time i had never considered myself a runner and actually hated running. I’m not sure what changed but i’m glad it did! I enjoy sharing my thoughts, training, and experiences through my blog and encouraging and supporting others in their running journeys.

Since becoming a runner, I have completed a handful of half marathons, three full marathons, and four ultra marathons. However, my biggest accomplishments have been running the Rim2Rim2Rim in the Grand Canyon and completing a seven-day, 250km stage race in the Alps. These were adventures of a lifetime and something I had never imagined that I would do even in my wildest dreams!
