November Project Vancouver: Wednesday, June 24, 2015

HERE. WE. GO. The Vancouver Pledge to become a part of the November Project tribe has begun! Do you love free fitness, elevating other people to be awesome, and making the world a better place? Join us! We train every Wednesday morning at 6:29AM (rain or shine) with over 100 amazing people attending each week. Our goal is to reach 300 by Canada Day! The best way to keep in touch is to join this Facebook community, check out my November Project Vancouver Pledge page, and read my latest November Project posts.

It’s a bit of a long story but due to extenuating circumstances, I slept in this morning and missed the NP Pledge workout. Although I was disappointed, it did allow me to catch up on some well-needed and deserved sleep. I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world!

Since the Science World location is on my way to work, I stopped by and snapped a couple photos, said hi to my NP peeps, and even met a new friend. Turns out that watching people workout is the next best thing to actually working out. You can feed off their energy and positivity while enjoying a coffee. So if you are injured, want to do some reconnaissance, or are just passing by, you should definitely say hi and grab a few high fives!

The next NP Pledge workout is at 6:29am on Wednesday, July 1 at Queen Elizabeth Park! No, we don’t take holidays! This is a great opportunity to bring out all your friends and family who usually can’t make the early morning workouts due to work, school, or other commitments. It’ll be a great way to kick off your Canada Day!

I started running about three years ago. Until this time i had never considered myself a runner and actually hated running. I’m not sure what changed but i’m glad it did! I enjoy sharing my thoughts, training, and experiences through my blog and encouraging and supporting others in their running journeys.

Since becoming a runner, I have completed a handful of half marathons, three full marathons, and four ultra marathons. However, my biggest accomplishments have been running the Rim2Rim2Rim in the Grand Canyon and completing a seven-day, 250km stage race in the Alps. These were adventures of a lifetime and something I had never imagined that I would do even in my wildest dreams!
