Weekly Training Summary: June 1 to 7, 2015

There was a lot going on this week and I didn’t get out running as much as I had hoped. By Sunday I was exhausted and totally crashed after struggling through a 8.5 km run. I had an amazing nap and a good nights sleep. Now I feel all rested for the upcoming week!


  • Lunch run – 8.5 km on road and trail.


  • Slopitch double header


  • Rest day.


  • Another rest day …


  • Lunch run – 6 km on road with stair repeats.


  • Spent the day in the sunshine.


  • Morning run – 8.5 km on trail.

I just realized that it’s only two and a half months until Squamish 50. I need to get my butt on the trails for some super long runs – no excuses! I’ve got Seek the Peak this coming weekend so that should be interesting … 16 km up a mountain!



I started running about three years ago. Until this time i had never considered myself a runner and actually hated running. I’m not sure what changed but i’m glad it did! I enjoy sharing my thoughts, training, and experiences through my blog and encouraging and supporting others in their running journeys.

Since becoming a runner, I have completed a handful of half marathons, three full marathons, and four ultra marathons. However, my biggest accomplishments have been running the Rim2Rim2Rim in the Grand Canyon and completing a seven-day, 250km stage race in the Alps. These were adventures of a lifetime and something I had never imagined that I would do even in my wildest dreams!

        1. Tomorrow, Thursday, or Friday would work for me!
