Weekly Training Summary: February 15 to 21, 2016

Week 10 of Gorge 100k training was pretty straight forward. Four 10 km lunch runs with a 25 km trail run on the Saturday and the Fort Langley Historic Half on the Sunday. We were planning to add on a little extra after the half but I bailed on that plan at the first mention of lunch, oops! Now that I backed off a little this past week on mileage, I’m ready for a big weekend coming up!

  • Monday – Rest day
  • Tuesday – 10.8 km lunch road run
  • Wednesday – 11 km lunch road run
  • Thursday – 10.6 km lunch road run
  • Friday – 10.2 km lunch road run
  • Saturday – 25.2 km morning trail run
  • Sunday – Fort Langley Historic Half
  • Total Distance – 88.9 km
  • Total Elevation Gain – 1660 m
  • Total Time – 10h 8m

I started running about three years ago. Until this time i had never considered myself a runner and actually hated running. I'm not sure what changed but i'm glad it did! I enjoy sharing my thoughts, training, and experiences through my blog and encouraging and supporting others in their running journeys. Since becoming a runner, I have completed a handful of half marathons, three full marathons, and four ultra marathons. However, my biggest accomplishments have been running the Rim2Rim2Rim in the Grand Canyon and completing a seven-day, 250km stage race in the Alps. These were adventures of a lifetime and something I had never imagined that I would do even in my wildest dreams!
