Weekly Training Summary: February 29 to March 6, 2016

Week 12 of Gorge 100k training was a bit of a strange (but good!) one. I ran the West Van Run 5k on Saturday and 10k on Sunday and followed each one up with an afternoon trail run. Luckily, despite ominous forecasts, the weather turned out really nice. There was even one of the most amazing rainbows I’ve ever seen! Doing four runs on the weekend really felt like I was running ALL weekend. I didn’t have time for anything else but sleep (and just barely enough for that).

Weekly Training Summary: February 22 to 28, 2016

Week 11 of Gorge 100k training was my third 100k week (ok almost, I rounded up)! I ended the week by volunteering on Saturday for the Coast Mountain Trail Series Run Ridge Run with a trail run of part of the course after. I realized how exhausted I was when I starting running on Sunday. Plan A had been to do 40 km, Plan B was 31 km, and what ended up happening was 27.9 km. Still overall pretty happy with the week!

Weekly Training Summary: February 15 to 21, 2016

Week 10 of Gorge 100k training was pretty straight forward. Four 10 km lunch runs with a 25 km trail run on the Saturday and the Fort Langley Historic Half on the Sunday. We were planning to add on a little extra after the half but I bailed on that plan at the first mention of lunch, oops! Now that I backed off a little this past week on mileage, I’m ready for a big weekend coming up!
